Joseph M. Haslage, 59, Co-Founder of the Moe-Joe Run

He was born Nov. 7, 1949 in Lorain. He was a life long resident with the exception of six years spent in Texas in the early 1980’s
Joe was a driver for Jonick Trucking in Sheffield Village he had also drove cement and other trucks. He was a bartender at the Riverside Cafe in South Lorain from 1999 to 2004.
He was one of a kind, caring and generous friend. Joe was a biker who enjoyed riding year around. He also enjoyed working on his 1968 Triumph TR6R and his Yamaha Vstar.
Among the survivors are his son Michael Haslage of Lorain, Daughters Elizabeth, Michelle and Lisa Haslage; brothers Russ of Vermilion and Ralph of Zephyrhills, Fla.; seven grandchildren; companion Cynthia Buga of Vermilion, former wife Claudette Gay Eddy of Lorain; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Sarah (nee Parino) Haslage; brothers Jimmy, John, Al and Bob Haslage; and an infant sister.
Friends may call Thursday, 4 to 9 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164. His funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Father James R. Ols, pastor of Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Elyria will officiate. Burial will follow Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township.
