William Trinter Stark, 77, Enjoyed his Antique 1957 Buick Car

Photo of William Trinter Stark William Trinter Stark, 77 of Vermilion, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Community Health Partners, Lorain.

He was born Dec. 25, 1931 in Chicago, Ill and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 29 years moving from Lorain.

He attended Cleveland Heights High School, Case Institute of Technology and graduated from Western Reserve University in 1953.

He served in the United States Air Force. Bill worked for Lorain Telephone/Centel from 1956 to 1984. He served his community as president of the Lorain County Regional Planning Commission, Commodore of the Lorain Yacht Club, Chairman of Vermilion City Planning Commission, and past trustee and business manager of the Great Lakes Historical Society.

He was a proud husband, father and grandfather and great friend to many.
He was an avid golfer who enjoyed his antique 1957 Buick car, sailing, boating, trains, steam engines, and the history of the Great Lakes maritime. Bill enjoyed his membership in the Antique Automobile Club of America, the Buick Club of America and Vermilion Boat Club.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Nancy ( nee Neiding ) Stark; daughter, Nancy Stark Zangerle of Chardon; son, Michael (Monica) T. Stark of Vermilion; daughter, Susan (Roger) Stark Palmison of Castalia; and son, Gregory N (Eve) Stark of Vermilion; and 8 grandchildren: William, Sarah, Tom, Mary, Emme, and Katie Stark, and Jon and Jimmy Baker.

He is preceded in death by his mother Catherine (nee Trinter) Stark and his first wife, Janet Thompson Stark.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Monday, May 11, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Nick Cacciatore officiating. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst where the Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military honors.
