Florence E. Hutz, 94, Enjoyed Working with Ceramics

Florence E. Hutz (nee Cosley), age 94, of Lorain, died Sunday May 10th, 2009 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home following an extended illness.

She was born in Cleveland and was a graduate of Lincoln West High School. Florence had been a resident of Lorain County since 1936.

Mrs. Hutz was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Marian Guild there as well as the Paduan Travelers and the Lorain Senior Sociables.

She was formerly employed as a seasonal designer for the Ryan-Caywood Florists of Lorain. Her favorite pastimes included spending time with her family, working with ceramics, floral arranging, and home decorating.

Survivors include her son Jack of Lorain and his wife Gerrie), grandchildren Christine Rodriguez, Michael Hutz, and Alison Coyne, and great grandchildren Jack, Jacob, Nicholas, and Elaina.

She was preceded in death by her husband Martin in 1995, by her daughter Carol Hutz in 1999, and by three sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday May 15th at 11 a.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Charles Henkle, O.F.M. Conv. will officiate. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
