Felix M. Quinones, 59, Enjoyed Remodeling Family's Homes
Felix M. Quinones 59 of Lorain, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 in Fairview Hospital, Cleveland following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 6, 1950 in Utuado, Puerto Rico. He came to Lorain in 1974. In 2002, he moved to Brooklyn, New York and returned to Lorain in 2004.
Mr. Quinones worked for Schuster Greenhouses for 15 years until 2002. He was a maintenance man for Timberview Apartments in Avon Lake until 2005. He enjoyed remodeling his family’s homes.
He will be missed by his wife of 28 1/2 years Jeanette Quinones (nee Olivia) of Lorain; sons Christian Quinones of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Santos Ramos of Lorain and Felix E. Quinones of Lorain; daughters Awilda Quinones of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Maria Ramos, Julissa Cubero and Glenda Lee Quinones all of Lorain; his father Felipe Quinones of Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico; Miguel A., Luis F. and Orlando Quinones all of Lorain and Jose J. Quinones of Brooklyn; sisters, Maria Avila of Buffalo, New York, Carmen Quinones and Milagros Quinones both of Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico, Genovera Quinones and Socorro Quinones both of Lorain and Miriam Quinones of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ramona Carreras Quinones, brother Gilberto Quinones and sister Gloria Quinones.
His family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164. His funeral service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in funeral home. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Garden in Avon.
