Virginia M. Sutorus, 85, Enjoyed Playing Cards and Traveling
Virginia M. Sutorus, 85, of Lorain died on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a brief illness.
Mrs. Sutorus was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 19, 1923, the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Foltz. She has lived in the Lorain area for the past 74 years. She was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Lorain.
She was a retired meat clerk at both the former Fishers Foods and the former Meyer Goldberg groceries. She retired in 1981. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, traveling and going to garage sales.
Mrs. Sutorus is survived by her husband of 69 years, James A. Sutorus, daughter Patricia Wash of Lorain, Diane Sutorus of Vermilion, sons James Sutorus of Raleigh, NC, Randy Sutorus of Tulsa, OK, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a brother Robert Foltz of Huron.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Arthur Foltz.

Funeral services will be on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 3507 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Rev Charles Henkel, associate pastor will be the celebrant. Entombment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
