Franklin Gary Haddix, 63, Enjoyed Country Music

Photo of Franklin Gary Haddix Franklin Gary Haddix, 63 of Lorain died Friday, May 15, 2009 in Community Health Partners Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness.

He was born Nov. 8, 1945 in Gypsy, West Virginia he came to Lorain in the early 1970’s he moved to Toledo and then returned to Lorain in the early 1990’s.

Mr. Haddix worked for J. B. Hunt Company as a maintenance man for many years. He enjoyed playing cards and country music. He also enjoyed his family and friends.

Among the survivors are his sons, Gary R. and Joseph W. Haddix both of Lorain; daughters, Ruthie “Becky” Haddix of Lorain and Barbara J. Haddix Focht of Lakewood; a sister Paulette Edwards of Wellington and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Otis R. Haddix and Naomi R. Ray (nee McCutheon); a infant son Franklin Haddix; brothers Clinton, Billy, Bobby and Dickey Haddix; sisters Janice Tamiggi and Violet Vergillo.

His family will receive friends Monday from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain (440) 277-8164. The Reverend Mark Hebebrand, Associate pastor of the House Of Praise International Church, Lorain will officiate, Burial will follow Ridge Hill Memory Park, Amherst Township.
