Mae M. Kelly, 82, Enjoyed Taking Trips to Las Vegas

Mae M. Kelly (nee Boulton), age 82, of Lorain, died Monday May 18th, 2009 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home following a brief illness.

She was born in Lorain on April 1, 1926 and remained a life-long resident of the city.

Mae was employed as a sales associate and loss prevention specialist for the F.W. Woolworth Company; she later served as a clerk for Mittendorf’s Pharmacy.

Mrs. Kelly was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ whose hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Additional interests included playing cards, solving word search puzzles, and taking trips to Las Vegas.

Survivors include her son Donald P. Kelly, Jr., granddaughters Lisa Kelley and Dawn Kelly, great grandchildren Brianna and Parker Kelley and Katrina and Miranda Piangerelli, sister Dorothy Matyi, niece Dana Ebinger, and nephews Rick Foisy and Stephen Patrlja.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald P. Kelly, Sr., by her father Roy A. Boultan, by her mother Mildred Traut-Babics, and by her sister Joan A. Patrlja.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Private family funeral services will be conducted in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Philip E. Kunz, officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
