Victoria Coteff, 83, Active Church Volunteer

Photo of Victoria  Coteff Victoria “Dolly” Coteff, (nee Piros), 83, of Lorain died Saturday, May 31st 2009 following a lengthy illness.

She was born Feb. 14, 1926 in Lorain, and was a life long resident.

She graduated from Lorain High School in 1944. Mrs. Coteff retired from Moen-Stanadyne Co. in Elyria.

She was an active member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Orthodox Church, Lorain, and a member of the Churches’ Sisterhood. She was a willing volunteer for all church functions and great at organizing the cooks. “She baked the best nut rolls this side of the Atlantic Ocean”.

Among the survivors are her son Christ and wife Judith Coteff of San Antonio, sisters, Krystine Cherney of Lorain and Elizabeth Linstruth of Clearwater, Florida. Grandchildren, Benjamin Eli Demko, Adam Peter Demko & Aaron Piros Coteff and a daughter in law, Becky Demko of Lorain.

Loving wife for fifty years of Boris “Bud” Coteff, who preceded her in death in 2000; her son Stephen M. Demko and her parents Peter and Mary (nee Buda) Piros.

Her family will receive friends Friday, June 5th from 4 p.m. to 8 p..m. in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Where Trisagon service will be 7 p.m. Friday evening. Her Funeral service will be Saturday, 10 a.m. in Saints Cyril and Methodius Church, 3056 Reeves Ave, Lorain. Rev. Paul G Monkowski, Rector will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. Memorial luncheon follows at Saints Cyril and Methodius Church hall.
