Glenda D. Frederick, 71, Enjoyed Playing Slot Machines
Glenda D. Frederick, 71, (nee Nestor) of Lorain died at University Hospital in Cleveland on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 following a brief illness.
Mrs. Frederick was born in St. George, WV on February 14, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Harriet "Bobbie" (nee Bohon) Nestor.
She has lived in Lorain for more than 40 years. She worked as a demo lady at Sam's Club in Sheffield for 10 years. She also worked for France Manufacturing in Westlake for 10 years.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, Day Chapter # 479, Moose Lodge # 778 and the Monday Afternoon League at Park Lanes. She enjoyed playing slot machines, bingo, spider solitaire and especially her dog, Butch.
Mrs. Frederick is survived by a daughter Karen L. Frederick of Lorain, sons Michael W (Linda) Frederick of Shandon, CA, Mark A. (Karen) Frederick of Lake Tahoe, CA, Ronald L.(Dianna) Frederick of Lorain, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sister Elsie Greaser of Parsons, WV, brothers Clay (Karen) Nestor of Amherst and Tony Nestor of Vermilion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roger W. Frederick in 2007.
Friends may call on Monday, June 8, 2009 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain. Order of Eastern Star services will be at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Steven Haddix, pastor of the River of Life Ministries, officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, OH.
