Juana Isolina Rojas, 82, Enjoyed Crocheting and Cooking

Photo of Juana Isolina Rojas Juana Isolina Rojas (nee Pujals), 82 of Lorain, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in the Specialty Hospital of Amherst, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Nov. 27, 1926 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in November of 1951.

Mrs. Rojas was a homemaker and mother who attended Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and playing bingo. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and family.

Among the survivors are her daughters Iris (Sammy) Adorno, Matilda (Luis) Cruz and Genoveve (William) Adorno all of Lorain; a brother Jamie Reyes of Lorain; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years Juan Rojas in 1975; son Heriberto Rojas; daughter Ada Agosto; brothers Ernesto Pujals and Mario Pujals.

Her family will receive friends Thursday, June 4 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164.

Funeral service will be Friday, June 5 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
