Cora Lash, 91, Enjoyed Making Her Own Clothes
Cora Lash (nee Slauter), 91, of Lorain, died Saturday June 13, 2009 at Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville after a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 10, 1918 in Elyria and had been a lifelong Lorain County resident.
Cora enjoyed making her own clothes, arts and crafts and toll paintings which she and her husband sold at area flea markets.
She is survived by her children Donna Dixon of Lorain, Elmer Buckley of Lorain, Jim Buckley of Kansas and Elaine Friley of Columbus, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William H. Lash in 2004, parents Charles and Lola Slauter (nee Dumas) and 8 sisters and brothers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday 5 - 8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Private family burial services will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
