Dorothy Zimmerman, 82, Life Member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church
Dorothy Zimmerman (nee Caco), 82, of Sheffield Township, passed away Tuesday June 16, 2009 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain.She was born July 11, 1926 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Dorothy was a 1944 graduate of Clearview High School. She was a life member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain and the Rosary Society of the church. Her hobbies included crocheting, crafts and watching Cleveland Indians baseball.
She is survived by her daughter Christine L. Zimmerman of Lorain, 2 sisters of Lorain and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred R. Zimmerman on March 26, 2007, parents John and Helen Caco (nee Tomcho) and 6 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends Thursday 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The Rev. David A. Novak, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
