Gladys J. Fonseca, 59, Member of Freedom House Church
Gladys J. Fonseca, 59, of Lorain, died Saturday, June 20, 2009 in Community Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 11, 1950 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She was raised in Cleveland then moved to Lorain in the 1960’s. She graduated from Admiral King High School in 1968. Gladys received an associate business degree from Cuyahoga County Community College.
She worked for Bobbie Brooks in Cleveland. She was a member of the Freedom House Church in Amherst.
She will be dearly missed by her brothers Angel and Carlos Fonseca both of Lorain, a sister Maria Luisa Stalnaker of Cambridge, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Juana (nee Rodriguez) Fonseca; brothers Juan and Isadoro Fonseca and sisters Juanita and Auria Fonseca.
Her family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164, where her funeral service will be Friday at 10 a.m. The Reverend Paul A. Gonzalez pastor of the Freedom House Church in Amherst will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
