Blanca E. Lopez, 53, Stain Glass Artist
Blanca E. Lopez (nee Zendejas), 53 of Lorain, passed away Saturday, June 27th, 2009 in Community Health Partners Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a brief illness.
She was born June 21, 1956 in Lorain and was a life long resident.
She graduated from Southview High School. She worked for Marcs in Sheffield for thirteen years.
Blanca was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain and the Mexican Mutual Club of Lorain. She was a stain glass artist. She also enjoyed vacationing in Las Vegas. She was a thoughtful, caring person and loved helping others.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of thirteen years Manuel Lopez of Lorain; step daughters Erica Lynn Lopez, Susan L. Hamilton both of Lorain, Monica L. Lopez of Chicago, Illinois; step son Manuel J. Lopez of Homestead, Florida; her parents Jose and Joyce (nee Dunn) Zendejas of Norwalk; brother Jose Zendejas of Lorain; sister Bonnie Soto of Lorain; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Her sister Leticia Medina preceded her in death.
Her family will receive friends Monday, June 28th from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164. Her funeral will be Tuesday, June 30th with closing prayers in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Father Charles W. Bisgrove S. C. J. of Wisconsin will officiate her funeral mass 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, South Lorain. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, Ohio.
