Georgia M. Mills, 75, Former Sunday School Teacher

She was born May 5, 1934 in Camden, West Virginia. She has been a Vermilion resident for the past 51 years and had also lived in Killbuck, Ohio.
She sold Avon products, worked for Mill Manor Nursing Home, Vermilion and the Vermilion High School cafeteria.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Vermilion. She taught Sunday School for 50 years, was active in the Women's Missionary Group and prayer groups. She served along with her husband as pastor of the Sunshine Baptist Church, Lorain from 1979-1995. She loved children and watching the Cleveland Indians.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert Mills; 4 daughters, Diana (Tim) Thomas of Orrville, Rebecca "Becki" (Tom) Bausum of Rembert, SC; Tressa (Jeff) Hart of Millersburg, and Robin (Brian) Butcher of Vermilion; 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Alma Taylor of Weston, WV and 2 brothers, Hobert "Skip" Turner of Kentucky and Billy McCauley of Wakeman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert R. Turner and Tyrecy (nee Williams) Turner McCauley.
Friends may call Sunday, July 12, 2009, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Vermilion, 6716 West River Road, Vermilion, Monday, July 13, 2009, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Donald Resecker, officating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
