James H. Mahaney, 52, Carpet and Flooring Installer
James H. Mahaney, 52, of Lorain, died Saturday Aug. 8, 2009 at St. John West Shore Hospital in Westlake after a short illness.
He was born Feb. 6, 1957 in Richmond, Virginia and had resided in the Lorain area for the past 30 years.
Jim worked as a carpeting and flooring installer for the Carpenter’s District Council in Cleveland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Debra (nee Fitch), children Billie Jo Perez and Brandon Perez, both of Lorain, grandson Cameron of Lorain, mother Margaret Frazier (nee Mullins) of Nitro, West Virginia, sister Deborah Chancellor of Marietta and brothers Douglas Mahaney (Deborah) of Crede, West Virginia and William A. Mahaney of Dunbar, West Virginia.
The family will receive friends Thursday 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at noon at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Raymond Black will officiate. Cremation will follow.
