Juan C. Berdiel, 82, Enjoyed Watching Golf
Juan C. Berdiel, age 82 of Lorain, died Monday Aug. 17, 2009 at the home of his daughter. He was born Nov. 24, 1926 in Puerto Rico, and lived most of his life in Lorain.
Mr. Berdiel worked as a foreman in a North Olmsted greenhouse.
He also worked at Fruehauf Trailer Co. in Lorain.
He is a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, and their Renovacion Coresmatica Group. He enjoyed watching golf on television.
He is survived by sons Jose Antonio Berdiel of New Jersey, and Mario Berdiel of Lorain, daughters Gladys Perez of Texas, Lydia Soto of Lorain, and Zorida Berdiel of Puerto Rico, seven grandchildren, and
13 greatgrandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers.
He was preceded in death by his wife Juana Berdiel in 1999, a son Juan Berdiel Jr., and three brothers.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m in Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain. Christian Wake service will be 7 p.m. with Deacon Tony DeGracia officiating. Funeral services will be Thursday beginning with prayers at 8:45 a.m. in the Funeral Home, followed by Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel. Fr. William Thaden will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
