Bernice Turon, 82, Enjoyed Sewing
Bernice Turon, age 82, of Lorain, passed away Tuesday Sept. 1st, 2009 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph.
Bernice was born in Lorain on Aug. 8, 1927, and had been a life-long resident of Lorain County.
She was a 1946 graduate of Elyria High School and had formerly been employed as a seamstress for the Lorain Garment Company. In her free time Bernice enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, and dancing
Survivors include her brother Edward (wife Patricia) of North Olmsted, sisters Catherine Papajcik of Lorain and Ethel Matus (husband Edward) of Wakeman, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Pauline (nee Baran) Turon, by sisters Janet Squires, Mary Nalepka, and Helen Kurish, and by brothers Albert and Martin.
Family funeral services will be conducted in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, Lorain with the Reverend James Peter representing New Life Hospice officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
