Alverna Meeks, 91, Enjoyed Caring for her Family

Photo of Alverna  Meeks On Aug. 27, 1918, Alverna Meeks was born in Lorain, Ohio to parents Ruben and Pearl (Falrath) Babcock. On Sept. 15th, 2009 she was born into eternal life with her Lord, Jesus Christ.

Her life revolved around her family, whom she loved and cared for. Her absence will leave a void, but memories of her love and devotion to her family will always remain in their hearts. She will always be remembered with great love.

Alverna was predeceased by her parents, Ruben and Pearl Babcock; her husband, Jack Meeks; and her brother, Alvin Babcock.

She is survived by her treasured daughters; Anita (Larry) Garber of Mentor and Donna (Bill) Motz of Eaton Rapids, MI. She had always shared with others her love and joy for her beloved grandchildren; Cynthia (Edward) Nugent; Alison (Andrew) Keilen, and her precious great grandchildren; Faith, Noah, and Hannah Nugent and Caleb, Trevor and Ethen Keilen.

She will also be missed by her favorite pets; Red, Angel, and Naomie.

Mom – May the Angels, Martyrs, and Saints welcome you into Paradise, we pray.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain. Parish Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. And Friday from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 317 W. 15th St. Lorain. (Please meet at the Church)

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

Memorial contributions if desired are encouraged to St. Joseph Church, 317 W. 15th St., Lorain.
