Trinidad R. Amador, 92, Homemaker
Trinidad R. Amador (nee Ramirez), 92 of Lorain, passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2009 in Amherst Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Amador was born Oct. 29, 1916 in San Marco, Texas. She moved to Weslaco, Texas in 1926 and made Lorain her home in 1947.
She was a homemaker and mother. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She was a member of the church’s Missionary Cenacle Lay Apostolate, Guadalupe Society, Cursillista, Juan XXII, Legion of Mary, choir member and a Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. She was a volunteer cook and housekeeper for the church rectory. Mrs. Amador enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, and doing missionary work.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters Lucia (Rafael) Silva and Maria (Robert) Espitia both of Lorain, Margarita Dinure of Las Vegas, Nevada and Eleanor Amador of Sheffield Lake; her son John (Carol) Amador of Lorain; her sisters Thomasa Juanita Ramirez and Alfonsa (Alejandro) Mejrado both of Corpus Christi, Texas, Castula (Juan) Alvarez of Tulia, Texas and Margarita (Juventino) Prieto of Pontiac, Michigan and a brother Seferino (Angela) Ramirez of Beaumont, Texas; 14grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Juan C, Amador in 1973; sons Hilario and Santiago Amador; sisters Consuelo Ruiz and Cleotilde Ramirez.
Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in The Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, South Lorain where Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Reverend Father, Manuel Cordova of El Salvador will officiate Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
