Mrs. Virginia O'Malley Novak, Devoted Catholic

Mrs. Novak was the daughter of Louis Martin O’Malley and Kathryn Thelma Moran O’Malley.

She was survived by three nieces; Laura Joyce Moriarty of Poinciana, Fl., Kathleen O’Malley Brown of Kennesaw, Ga., and Virginia O’Malley Brown of San Francisco, Ca., and her first cousin, William E. Ferris currently of Pinehurst, N.C.

Mrs. Novak was born in Cleveland Heights and was Baptized at St. Ann’s Catholic Church where she was married by the Rev. John R. Kenny to George Anthony Novak, son of Frank Novak and Jennie Suhadolnik Novak on November 17, 1956. Mr. George Novak passed away suddenly on March 30, 1959.

Virginia remained a loving widow and devoted Catholic. She enjoyed a varied career working for the Hollenden Hotel, Glidden Co., and The Halle Brother’s Co. There she served as an office manager in the advertising department and was often used as a model in various ads in the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Cleveland Press papers.

Mrs. Novak was buried next to her husband at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland. She was 83.
