Elsie M. Geiger, 93, Enjoyed Playing Bingo
Elsie M. Geiger (nee Miglets), 93 formerly of Lorain passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 in Bradley Bay Health Center following a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 10, 1916 in Winburne, Pennsylvania and was raised in Lorain.
During World War II she was a city bus driver in San Diego, California. Mrs. Geiger retired from A & P Grocery store meat department in 1981. She worked there for over 20 years.
She was a member of Saint Anthony Church Lorain, and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 427. Elsie loved her family and enjoyed playing bingo.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Patricia Rees of Avon Lake, her grand sons Bill and Randy Rees and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Elizabeth (nee Capitan) Miglets, her brothers Michael and John Miglets and a sister Grace Jacobs.
A grave side service was held Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
