Frances Louise Koleno (nee Van Pelt), 74, of Lorain, died Tuesday Oct. 27, 2009 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 13, 1935 in Florence, Alabama and had resided in Lorain for the past 45 years.
Frances worked at Lorain Products until she married. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lorain.
She is survived by her husband Gary Koleno of Lorain, sons Gary David Koleno (Natalie) of Amherst, Curtis Baynes of Tallahassee, FL and George Baynes of Alaska, daughter Anita Boswell (Daniel) of Vicksburg, MS, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Gail Hughes (C.L.) of Lawrenceburg, TN and brother Joe Van Pelt of Duncan, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin & Annie Van Pelt (nee Holliman), sister Jewel Underwood and brother James Van Pelt.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Kevin Saylor, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
