Faith Romaine Housel, 70, Enjoyed Reading & Sewing
Faith Romaine Housel (nee Horner), 70, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain.
She was born May 4, 1939 in Conemaugh, PA and lived in Vermilion since 1974.
She owned and operated Village Square Tea Room in Vermilion and also worked as a recruiter for Meijer Co.
She was a member of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church and was a Parent Infant Enrichment volunteer. She participated in the Foster Parent Program and helped over 47 children. She enjoyed reading, sewing and loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Earl Housel; sons, Randy Earl (Deborah) Housel of Snowflake, AZ and Michael (Heather) Housel, Warsaw, IN; daughters, Lynnette (Eric) Gilles of Lorain, Lori Ramos of Grand Rapids, OH; 5 grandchildren, Sheri Lynn Housel Quilty, Alexis and Mariana Gilles, Kendra and Lauren Housel; brothers, Robert Horner, Neil Horner, both of Johnstown, PA and Mearl Horner, Davidsville, PA.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Theodore and Margaret (nee Page) Horner, and a brother, Theodore Horner, Jr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. The Reverend Dr. Nick Cacciatore, pastor of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, will officiate.
