Teofilo Cruz Lopez, 77, Enjoyed Playing the Guitar
Teofilo “Teo” Cruz Lopez, 77 of Lorain died Sunday Nov. 8, 2009 in his home from natural causes.
He was born Aug. 4, 1932 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. He moved to Lorain from Hoboken, New Jersey in 1966.
Mr. Lopez worked for Apex in Elyria. He retired in 1997. He attended Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. Teo enjoyed fishing, movies and working around his house. He played the guitar and the guito in a band.
He is survived by his son Mathew Cruz Lopez; sisters Juanita and Matilda Cruz Lopez of Puerto Rico; nieces Carmen Ortiz and Teresa Perez both of Elyria, Ida Escobar, Carmen Martinez, Maria Cruz Lopez of New York, New York and Daisey Ramos all of Lorain,; nephews Gerardo, Elivin, and Michael Cruz all of Lorain and Wilfredo Ortiz of Lorain.
His family will receive friends Friday at 8:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Reverend William A. Thaden, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain
