James Litteral, 71, Enjoyed Reading and Television
James Big Jim Litteral, 71, of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday Nov. 11, 2009 at his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1938 in Apple Creek, Ohio and had resided in Lorain for over 25 years.
James served two terms with the US Army, 01/10/58-01/09/61 and 3/9/61-3/5/64, as a SP4. He also served with the Merchant Marines.
James was a retiree of Ford Motor Company where he worked as a welder for 23 � years.
He enjoyed attending church, reading, family, garage sales and television.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Lillian Bernice Litteral, son James L. Litteral (Wendy) of Cleveland, daughters: Deborah D. Goodin (Glen) and Rebekah R. Litteral, both of Lorain and grandchildren Zachary Goodin, Nicholas Goodin and Mackenzie Goodin, all of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 4 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Robert Daugherty will officiate. Cremation will follow. The ashes will be interred privately at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon and military honors will be conducted.
