Joseph Buckosh, 81, Enjoyed Cooking & Gardening
Joseph Buckosh, 81 of Olmsted Falls, formerly of Lorain died Wednesday evening, Nov. 25, 2009 at Elyria Memorial Hospital Regional Medical Center in Elyria following a brief illness.
Mr. Buckosh was born in Lorain on Oct. 17, 1928, the son of the late Louis and Catherine (nee Lokos) Buckosh. He was a graduate of Clearview High School and a U.S. Army veteran serving in occupaied Japan attaining the rank of staff sergeant.
He was a retired warehouse manager at Akzo Salt Mine in Cleveland for 12 years retiring in 1996. He also had worked at Thew Shovel and American Ship Building.
Mr. Buckosh enjoyed cooking and gardening.
He is survived by daughters Cynthia Buckosh of Olmstead Falls, Kathleen (Paul) Norrod of Wakeman, son Scott (Kim) Buckosh of Ravenna, granddaughter Autumn Buckosh, and a sister Elizabeth Suppa of Sheffield Township.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alice (nee Chonko) Buckosh, sisters Helen Kiesel, Grace Figlio brothers, Steve Buckosh, George Buckosh, Alex Buckosh, James Buckosh, Louis Buckosh and Frank Buckosh.
Services were private.
