Patricia A. Kryc, 69, Legal Secretary

She was born in Lorain on April 8, 1940 and had been a life-long resident of the city. Pat was a graduate of Lorain High School as a member of the Class of 1958-A.

She was formerly employed as a legal secretary for the law practice of Attorney John Edwards in Elyria.

Mrs. Kryc was best known for her generosity and benevolence to all whom she encountered. She was a parishioner of St. John Roman Catholic Church where she took great pride in planting and maintaining the floralscape of the parish grounds. In her free time she enjoyed cooking and baking. Additional interests included spending time with her family, grandchildren, and two pet Dachshunds.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 49 years Ronald A. Kryc, daughter Pam Kryc of Lorain, sons Ronald “Ronny” Kryc of Bay Village and Rick Kryc (wife Cindy) residing in Columbus, grandchildren Valerie, Meghan, Austin, Michelle, Johnny, Rachel, and Brian, by her mother Ann Striker (nee Firago) of Amherst, brother Joseph (wife Pat) Striker also of Amherst, along with her nephew Joe Striker (wife Melissa) of North Ridgeville and niece Marcella McDavid (husband Anthony) of Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by her father Paul “Pat” Striker.

Visitation will be Sunday Dec. 6th from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday beginning at 11 a.m. in the funeral chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. in St. John Roman Catholic Church at the corner of Grove Avenue and Homewood Drive. The Reverend Thomas R. Smith, Pastor of the parish will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

The family encourages memorial contributions to the floralscape fund at St. John Roman Catholic Church.
