William A. Toth, 88, Senior Millwright at U.S. Steel
William A. Toth, age 88 of Lorain, died Saturday Dec. 5, 2009 at Hearthstone at Lorain.
Born Dec. 6, 1920 in Lorain, he was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Toth was a senior millwright at U.S. Steel retiring in 1975 after 35 years.
He was a WW2 veteran, serving in the US Coast Guard.
He was a member of St. Mary Church in Lorain, and enjoyed gardening, bowling, and creating dried flower arrangements.
Mr. Toth is survived by his children William Toth Jr. of Greenville, SC, Rosemary Eckenrode of Jupiter FL, and Michael Toth of Peoria, AZ, four grandsons, and four great-grandchildren, and a brother Elmer Toth of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Toth (nee Gall) in 1995, and a sister Margaret Bruce.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
At Reichln-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway Lorain.
Funeral services will be Wednesday beginning with prayers at 9:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home followed by 10 a.m. Mass at St. Mary Church. Fr. Daniel Divis and Fr. Terrence Baum will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
