Mark R. Gawlik, 55, Loved Building Model Cars
Mark R. Gawlik, 55, of Lorain, died Sunday Dec. 6, 2009 at the Hospice of the Western Reserve Hospice House in Cleveland after a short illness.
He was born Sept. 20, 1954 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Mark was a graduate of Lorain High School where he lettered in football. He worked at US Steel in Lorain. Mark enjoyed tinkering with cars and loved building model cars.
He is survived by his daughter Jaime Coleman (Frank) of Lorain, grandchildren Ashley Coleman, Alexis Coleman, Anthony Coleman and Alicia Coleman, brothers Darrell Gawlik (Jane) of Lorain and Henry Gawlik, Jr. (Sabina) of Belleville, Illinois and sister Grace of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Gawlik, Sr and Agnes Gawlik (nee Sas).
The family will receive friends Thursday 2 - 4 p.m., 7 - 9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain and on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel for reflection services. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
