Deanna M. Snurr, 71, Enjoyed Painting and Crafts

Deanna M. Snurr, 71 of Lorain died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain following a brief illness.

Miss Snurr was born in Amherst on Feb. 20, 1938, the daughter of the late Harold A. and Florizella V. (nee Rummery) Snurr. She was a graduate of Clearview High School, class of 1956.

She retired from the former Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church in Lorain after 37 years service as church secretary. She retired in 2002.

Miss Snurr enjoyed painting and crafts, especially making Christmas tree ornaments.

She is survived by nieces Cynthia J. (Gary) Snyder of Bruce Township, MI, Dorothy (Richard) Whitmor, Bonnie Snurr both living in Florida, a nephew Fred (Louise) Nowicki of Chagrin Falls, several great nieces and nephews, cousins and many close friends.

Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, on Monday, Dec. 14, 2009 from 11 p.m. until services at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Henkle and Rev. Christopher Statz, both pastors of the former Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating.
