Eva Sanchez, 84, Enjoyed Traveling & Gambling Trips

She was born July 25, 1925 in Corozal, Puerto Rico and had resided in Lorain since 1951.

Eva graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work.

She worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain in the medical records department from 1956 to 1978.

Eva was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain. She enjoyed traveling, gambling trips, family gatherings, spending time with her grandchildren, pets, soap operas, word search and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years Angel Sanchez of Lorain, children Marie Hernandez of Lorain, Angel R. Sanchez of Lorain and Edgar Sanchez (Michele) of Shelby Twp, Michigan, grandchildren Brenda Morgan (Garth), Cheryl Hernandez, Eric Hernandez, Edgar Sanchez Jr., Amber Sanchez, Troy Sanchez and Kyle Sanchez, 6 great grandchildren and sister Ana Del Hoyo of Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends Monday 2:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 5:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Cremation will follow and the ashes will be interred in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Twp.
