Howard W. Wurgler, 66, Retired Machinist from Southern Carbide
Howard W. Wurgler, 66, of Amherst died early Tuesday morning, Feb 2, 2010 at his home following a long illness.Mr. Wurgler was born in Youngstown on Oct. 2, 1943, the son of the late Elmer E and Dorthea (nee Chamberlain) Wurgler. He served in the US Navy during the Viet Nam era. He was a retired machinist from Southern Carbide.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Audrey B. (nee Furin) Wurgler, daughters Sherry A ( John) Devereaux of Wellington, Samantha M. (Jeff) Jones of Amherst, sons Edward W (Rhonda) Wurgler of Medina, Rodney L. (Keisha) Wurgler of St. Louis, MO, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sisters Carole Kinder of Laurenburg, NC., Beverly Darrows of Bradenton, FL., brothers Robert Wurgler of Seville, and Frederick Wurgler of Leesburg, FL.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Richard Wurgler.
Friends are invited to call Thursday, Feb 4, 2010 from 5 p.m. until services at 7 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, with Rev. Tom Kinder officiating.
Burial with full military honors will be on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Ohio 44270.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to New Life Hospice, C/O Community Health Partners Foundation 3700 Kolbe Road Lorain, OH 44053-9905.
