Anne Skapin, 90, Member of St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church

She was born March 12, 1919 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Kathryn (Miskews) and Wasyl Harmych. She came to Lorain in 1923.

Mrs. Skapin worked two years at Hill's Dept. store and ten years at Zayre's Dept. Store, retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith (George Randall) Herman of Lafayette, Louisiana and Alanna (John Stadler) of Homeworth, Ohio. She also leaves four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Albert Skapin in 2000, her parents, and brothers, Michael, Steve, and John Harmych.

Her family will receive friends Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Rev. Thomas R. Smith pastor of St. John Roman Catholic Church, Lorain will officiate, followed by interment in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
