Virginia Ann Varga, 91, Devoted Homemaker
Virginia Ann Varga, (nee Ferjutz), age 91, of Lorain, died Friday March 5th, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Long Beach, CA.
She was born in Cleveland, OH on June 28, 1918, the youngest and last survivor of nine children. She had been a resident of Lorain for more than 50 years.
A devoted homemaker, Virginia was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and was also an active member of the Lorain Salvation Army Keenagers. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her daughters Virginia Diane Varga of Lorain, Donna M. Lewiston (Allan) of California, son Ronald F. Varga (Linda) of Elyria, along with four grandsons.
Mrs. Varga was preceded in death by her husband of 46 � years, Frank, in 1985, by her parents Andrew and Agnes (nee Mausar) Ferjutz, and by her nine siblings.
Visitation will be Friday March 12th from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave. Lorain. The Reverend Joseph West, O.F.M. Conv., Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Freedom Mausoleum at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
