Rosa Acevedo, 82, Devoted Mother and Grandmother
Rosa Acevedo (nee Ramos), 82 of Lorain, went home to be with her Lord, Monday, March 8, 2010 in Community Health Partners Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 28, 1927 in Lares, Puerto Rico. She came with her family to Lorain in 1993.
Mrs. Acevedo was a member of the Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed flowers.
She will be dearly missed by her sons Angle, Luis, Fermin and William Acevedo all of Lorain and Ismael Acevedo of Elyria, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by her parents Andalesio and Carmen (nee Cardona) Ramos and her son Martin Acevedo and an infant daughter.
Her family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164. Funeral services will be Friday, with closing prayers at the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, South Lorain. Reverend, Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
