James P. Snider, 48, MPW Industrial Cleaning Technician
James P. Spider Snider, age 48, of Lorain, died unexpectedly on Thursday April 1, 2010 at Community Regional Medical Center.He was born in Bay Village on Aug. 14, 1961 and had been a life-long resident of Lorain. He was a graduate of Lorain High School.
As a youth he was active with the Firelands Council of the Boy Scouts of America; as an adult he continued to serve scouting by acting as a mentor to troubled youths.
Mr. Snider was currently employed as a technician with the M.P.W. Industrial Cleaning Company of Lorain.
He is survived by his son Channze of Lorain, mother Rose Mary Snider (nee Landreth) of Columbia Station, brother Richard and his wife Karen of Mentor, sisters Deborah Courtney and her husband Gene of Lorain, Joanne Jones of Vermilion, Cheryl Murphy and her husband Richard of Columbia Station, Dianna Snider of Lorain, Betty Lesner and her husband Scott also of Lorain, Jennifer Lee and her husband Woodrow of Farmington, West Virginia, and Bonnie Richards and her husband Nathan of Grafton. He also leaves sixteen nieces and nephews along with five great nieces and great nephews.
Mr. Snider was preceded in death by his father Carl in 1999.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 6th from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Robert Daugherty officiating.
