Mary A. Williams, 75, Enjoyed Crocheting and Bowling

Photo of Mary A. Williams Mary A. Williams (nee Palmer), 75 of Vermilion, died Thursday, April 8, 2010 in Community Health Partners West, after a 5 month illness.

She was born Dec. 25, 1934 in Greene, New York and has been a Vermilion resident since 1979.

She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Vermilion and enjoyed crocheting, on line games, camping, bowling, bird watching, hummingbirds, reading and dachshunds.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Pamala Commerford of Stockton, NY and Tina Reynolds of Vermilion; 2 sons, Herbert Downey of Hutchinson, Kansas, and William (Lisa) Downey of Mulberry, FL; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce O. Williams; 3 brothers and her parents Arthur and Lillian (nee Calferin) Palmer.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. at the Lakeview Baptist Church 591 Ferndale, Vermilion. The Reverend Cliff Morris, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
