Rafael Rodriguez, 88, Baker
Rafael Rodriguez, 88 of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 10, 1922 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He came to Lorain in 1978. Mr. Rodriguez worked a baker in Caguas. He enjoyed playing dominoes, cooking, singing and walking along the Lake Erie.
He will be dearly missed by his sons Celestino “Tino” Rodriguez of Lorain and Jose Rafael Rodriguez, Jr. of Orlando Florida, his daughters Carmen Gloria and Blanca Iri Rodriguez both of Caguas, grandchildren Javier and Steven Rodriguez of Lorain, Jessica Rodriguez of Fort Myers, Ive, Zory and Rebecca Rodriguez all of Caguas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Estavan and Adelina (nee Gonzalez) Rodriguez, son Reynaldo Rodriguez, daughter Olga Margarita Rodriguez, brother Estevan Rodriguez and sisters Gloria and Carmen Rodriguez.
His family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, Ohio.
