Thelma Crisp , 86, Former Dietary Supervisor at CHP
Thelma Crisp (nee Ratliff), 86, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children on Thursday, April 15, 2010.
She was born June 10, 1923 in Hanger, VA and has been a Vermilion resident since 1965 moving from Pomeroy, Ohio.
Thelma retired from Community Health Partners, where she worked as a Dietary Supervisor for 25 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Vermilion. She enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing, gardening, poetry, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Jane (Roy) Cremeans of Bucyrus, Sheila (Dr. James) Huggins of Galion, Becky (Dale) Williams of Vermilion, Myra (Chet) MacLean of Vermilion, and Vicki (Greg) Howell of Naples, Fl; sons, Al (Brenda) Crisp of Clearwater, FL and Joe (Kathy) Crisp of Vermilion; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brothers, Carlos and Wyatt Ratliff of VA; and sisters, Betty Brown and Anna Jean Griffith of VA.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 53 years, James Crisp in 1991, parents, Al and Erie (nee Breeding) Ratliff, 5 brothers, Curtis, Marvin, CB, Ishmael, and Kester Ratliff and a sister, Myrtle Childress.
Friends may call Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 6-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Monday, April 19, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Donald Resecker officiating. Interment will follow in Rugby Cemetery, Brownhelm Twp.
