Lillian J. Burke , 83, Co-owner of Ace Car Wash

She was born Aug. 23, 1926 in Lorain, Ohio and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. She was a graduate of Lorain High School in 1944.

Lillian was co-owner of Ace Car Wash on Colorado Avenue in Lorain during the 1950’s and 60’s. Later she worked as an assembler at Lorain Products retiring in 1988.

Lillian was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain.

She is survived by her daughter Andrea L. Witner (Thomas) of Lorain, son Todd Burke of Nashville, Tennessee, granddaughter Jessica J. Burke of Nashville, Tennessee and sister Rose Etzkorn (Dr. Peter) of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Elizabeth Schindler (nee Gross) and brother Max Schindler.

Private family funeral services were held. The Rev. Joseph West OFM Conv, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain, officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.

Arrangements were under the direction of Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
