Narciso Santiago, 75 , Golden Glove Boxer

He was born Sept. 5, 1934 in Utuado, Puerto Rico. He came to Lorain in 1968.
Palle operated Casa De Lares, La Perla, Southerners, and the former Primos Restaurant. He also worked for Ford.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. Palle enjoyed playing pool, dominoes, cards, fishing, cookouts, swimming and his pets and nature. He was a Golden Glove boxer. He was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 41 years Bienvenida Bonnie Santiago (nee Torres), sons Joseph Torres of Cleveland, Brando, Palle, Orlando and Francisco Santiago all of Lorain and Marco of Tampa, Florida, daughters Nilda and Marisol Santiago both of Lorain, Quirena Gyorfi of Lorain and Nicole Santiago of Tampa, brothers Maneco and Ismael Santiago both of Puerto Rico, sisters Concepcion, Miguelina and Lydia Santiago all of Puerto Rico and Alicia Rodriguez of Puerto Rico, and 17 grandchildren. His parents Narciso H. and Nicolasa (nee Gonzalez) Santiago and a sister Olga Santiago preceded him in death.
His family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164, Where closing prayers will be Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. followed by Mass Of The Resurrection at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain Ohio.
