Louise T. Peltz, 84, Enjoyed Socializing with Her High School Classmates

She was born Jan. 12, 1926 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Louise was a graduate of the Lorain High School class of 1943B. She worked as a clerk for the Clerk of Courts at Lorain City Hall until 1951.

Louise was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain and the church Marian Guild. She enjoyed swimming at the Lorain YMCA, exercising at EMH Center for Health & Wellness, reading, crossword puzzles and regularly socializing with her high school classmates.

She is survived by her children LuAnn Prokesh (Glenn) of Avon Lake, Paul M. Peltz of Lorain, Cathy Peltz of Lorain, Greg Peltz (Julie) of Amherst, Marybeth Peltz of Westlake, Jon Peltz (Jane) of Ponte Vedra, Florida and David Peltz (Karol) of Lorain, grandchildren Allison Peltz, Greg Peltz, Jr, Michael Peltz and Madison Peltz and sister Roberta “Bunny” Bastock (Del) of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Paul Peltz in 2008, parents Bert & Theresa Szabo (nee Urban) and sisters Madge Karney, Eleanor Szabo and Vivian Fragassi.

The family will receive friends Thursday 2 - 4 p.m., 7 - 9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Please meet at church where the family will receive friends Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 E. Erie Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Joseph West OFM Conv, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
