Geraldine ''Eileen'' Mitchell, 72, Office Manager

She was born in Washington, Pennsylvania on August 28, 1937 and had been a resident of Lorain since 1944 coming from her native Pennsylvania. Eileen was a graduate of Lorain High School as a member of the Class of 1954.

She was most recently employed as the office manager for Osborne, Inc. retiring in 2006 following 18 years of service. She had previously been employed as a sales associate for both Ted Jacobs and Al Januzzi Footwear.

Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Other interests included solving crossword puzzles, scrap-booking, painting, and quilting. She also enjoyed dogs and shopping.

She is survived by her sons John Born (Lori) and Quinet Mitchell both of Lorain, and Doug Born (Linda) of Sheffield Lake, daughters Loretta (David) Rositano and Deanie (Frank) Shukait both of Lorain, grandchildren Matt and Lynne Rositano, Rachel and Hannah Born, Erin (Josh Vardous) and Megan Shukait, Lisa, Mark, Stephanie, and Thomas Born, Amber, Amanda and DJ Mitchell, and by great grandchildren Julian Vardous and Aileen “Lulu” Maloney.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Geraldine (nee Kinney) Mitchell and by her brother John.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday; Father Craig Hovanec, Pastor of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
