Anastacia Alicea, 78 of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in Avon Oaks Porter Pavilion, Avon following a long illness.She was born May 2, 1932 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 1982.
Mrs. Alicea attended Sacred Heart Chapel and Templo Emanuel both in Lorain. She was a home maker and mother, who enjoyed music, flowers and looking at photographs.
Among the survivors are her son Raphael Colon of Puerto Rico, son-in-law George Rivera of Lorain, grandchildren George Jr., Raymond Rivera both of Lorain, Evelyn Christian of Sandusky and Janett Brown of Lorain and five great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gregorio Colon in 1982, daughter Alicia M. Rivera in 2000 and a son Junio Colon.
Her family will receive friends Monday from 11 Am until time of her funeral service at 1 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
