Luz C. Rivera, 29, Worked at Toys R Us

She was born June 3, 1981 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. She was raised in Lorain. Luz graduated from Admiral King High School, Lorain in 2000. She received her Medical Assistant Diploma from Sanford-Brown College in Middleburg Heights.

Luz worked for Toys-R- Us in Elyria for 6 Years.

She will be deeply missed by her son Alex Hernandez of Lorain, her sister Elizabeth Rivera of Lorain, grandmother Rosario Cardona Velez of Lorain, long time companion Gabriel Hernandez of Lorain uncles William Velez of Kissimmee, Florida, Alberto and Lucas R. Velez both of Anasco, Puerto Rico and a aunt Martza Velez of Anasco.

Her family will receive friends Friday from 10 AM until time of closing prayers at 12:15 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain (440) 277-8164 followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 1 PM in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain Rev. Fr. William A. Thaden pastor will officiate. Burial will then take place in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
