Sonia ''Sonni'' Rojas, 54, Loved Dancing

Sonia "Sonni" Rojas, 54, of Lorain, died on Thursday, June 24, 2010, in MetroHealth Hospital, Cleveland surrounded by her beloved family and friends.

She was born on February 14, 1956 in Lorain. She graduated from Southview High School in 1974.

Sonia worked for Cleveland Accident an Injury Center, Elyria until 2007; she also worked for JD ByRider in Amherst, Nationwide Credit, Westlake, Allied and Associates, Cleveland and May Co, Parma.

Sonia was a loving sister, aunt, and friend who loved dancing, sewing, basketball, and football and was the life of the party. She regularly appeared on a local TV show, Weekday Fever, and was a dance contestant on the national show Dance Fever.

She is survived by her sisters, Migdalia Rojas of Lorain, Leticia Rojas-Ulm of Red Feather, CO, Noemi Rojas, Nora Rojas and Rafaela Rojas, of Miami, FL, brothers Noel Rojas and Damian Rojas, of Lorain, nephews, Damian Rodriguez, Michael Rojas, Seth Hammons and Robert Rojas and great nephew, Gabriel Agustin Rodriguez.

She was preceded in death by her father, Agustin Rojas Cruz and mother, Esthervina Reyes Cruz.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday, June 29 from 4 to 8pm at Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home at 1783 E. 31 Street. South Lorain (440) 277-8164. Friends may also call Wed. from 8 until time of mass of resurrection at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
