Maria M. Perez, 85, Excellent Cook

She was born December 21, 1924 in Lares, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 1955.

Mrs. Perez was a homemaker and mother who for a brief period worked in the bakery of Meyer Goldberg's and as a housekeeper for the U. S. Steel Credit Union.

Maria was a founding and active member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She was also a member of the Crusillo Movement. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed music.

She will be deeply missed by her sons Fabio A. (Becky) Perez of Raleigh, North Carolina, Adalberto (Hilda) Perez of Viera, Florida, Juan E. (Diane) and Jose A. (Paula) Perez both of Lorain, Jesus M. (Susan) Perez of Wakeman and Luis A. (Marisol) Perez of Cleveland, her daughters Maria M. (Rev. Mr. Luis) Maldonado of Vermilion, Norma E. (Norman) Michalski and Evelyn (Ivan) Arocho both Lorain and Wilma (Edwin) Cortez of Wakeman, brothers Hector Rodriguez of Lares, Ismael Rodriguez of Miami, Florida and Victor Rodriguez of Bayamon, Puerto Rico., sisters Gloria Rodriguez-Ramirez of Bayamon, Lucy Reyes of Long Island, New York and Aurea Rodriguez of Arecibo, Puerto Rico.

She was preceded ion death by her parents Maria Colon Colon and Juan Rodriguez Lugo, brothers Manuel Rodriguez, Adrian Rodriguez and William Rodriguez and a grandson Christopher Michael Maldonado.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Where mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 AM. Rev Fr. William A. Thaden, pastor will officiate, Burial will follow Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
