Mary Pincura, 91, She Enjoyed Card Parties and Gardening
Mary Pincura (nee Halahan), 91, of Lorain went to be with the lord on the evening of August 15, 2010.
Mary was born September 17, 1918 in Belle Valley, Ohio to Michael and
Anna (nee Kostelnik) Halahan. She was a longtime resident of Lorain, Ohio for 58 years. She was an active member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
She enjoyed card parties and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ohio State Buckeye legend
Stanley Pincura who died in 1979, married for 27 years.
Mary was survived by her sons, Mike "Buzz" Pincura of La Grange and
Jeffery Pincura of Chicago and 7 grandchildren. Mary passed away
peacefully at home under the loving care of her daughter-in-law,
Patricia Pincura, Mike's loving wife.
His family will receive friends Tuesday, August 17, from 4 to 8 P.M. in
the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain
(440) 277-8164. Where Parastas will be at 7 P.M. Tuesday evening in the
funeral home. Panachida will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the
funeral home then by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 A.M. at St. Nicholas
Byzantine Rite Catholic Church 2711 West 40th St. Lorain. Rev. Father
Nicholas R. A. Rachford, J.C.L., Pastor will officiate.
Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst
Township.
