Leonard G. Oldfield, 57, He Enjoyed Spending Time with his Grandchildren

Photo of Leonard G. Oldfield Leonard G. Oldfield, 57 years old, of Elyria, Ohio died on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at his home, following a short illness.

Leonard was born on March 25, 1953 in Elyria and lived in Elyria and Amherst all of his life. He was the owner operator of Oldfield Septic Services in Elyria for 40 years. He loved driving trucks and going to race car events. Leonard loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kim (nee Hambly) Oldfield; two daughters, Lyndsey Oldfield of Amherst, Ohio and Abby Oldfield of Huntington Township; one son, Aaron Oldfield of Amherst; daughter in law, Misty Gallion of Amherst, his mother, Madaline Oldfield-Johnston (nee Gongloff) of Lorain; and four grandchildren.

He is also survived by one brother, Charles Oldfield of Boulder, Colorado; three sisters, Mary Strader of Vermilion, Catherine Clontz of Pennsylvania, and Ruth Oldfield of Lorain. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Leonard was preceded in death by his father, Leonard F. Oldfield.

Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Monday, August 23, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at 8:00 p.m.
